Our Process

Pflueger's custom panels are nonstructual overlays which provide a decorative yet functional panel. Our overlays are frequently used to replace the plastic (royalite) panels that originally came with the plane.

Not only do they improve the appearance of the interior, but with our recessed lighting system, drastically improves the instrument visibility at night.

In order to produce a panel that meets your expectations, there are several things we need.

First of all we need from you, an accurate workable pattern of what you want. Generally, if the aircraft already has plastic fascias, we can use these for a pattern, but we need you to make notes of modifications needed. For example, if you are changing an instrument, we need to know which instrument, what the new instrument will be (and brand) so that we can make the change.

Next, we need to know how the existing plastic fasica fits. Perhaps the old fasicas did not fit up tight to the radio stack, make a notation so that an adjustment can be made. Perhaps there is a hole for a 5 o'clock knob that you no longer need, make a notation of that.

We want to make your panel to meet your expectations, but we need your help. If your aircraft does not have removable fasicas, then you can make a poster-board type templete, but do test for accuracy several times.

A third pattern option, especially if building an experimental aircraft, is to send the aluminum or composite structural panel prior to mounting the instruments. This assures a very accurate overlay. Feel free, at any time, to give us a call or e-mail for help and suggestions. Remember we want the new panel to make you happy so please take a look at your existing layout while it is in the aircraft, and if you wish to move placards, re-size a hole, or fill in a blank space, now is the time to do so.

Let us know what you want. Once you have your pattern, just mail it along with your order information and deposit to us and we'll take it from there. Make sure you include telephone numbers, etc., so that we can contact you, as we usually have clarification questions.
